April 27 is a start of a scale nationwide tour of ethno-electro-jazz band DagaDana. This Ukrainian-Polish project arose after Daga Gregorovich from Poznan got acquainted with Dana Vynnytska from Ivano-Frankivsk, vocalist of famous Ukrainian jazz band «ShockolaD». Also Miko Posperzhalsky, student of Music Academy in Krakow, helps to stay in touch with jazz root.

Dagadana flavors jazz with folk, drum&bass, electronic, thus creating then dreamily tender, then impulsively-violent music. Musicians gladly use ocarina, harmonics, children toys, flashlights and toy music instruments during their concerts.

The band has already recorded two albums, participate in international music festivals Heineken Open’er Festival, Flugery L’vova, Fort.Missia, ZA JAZZ Fest, L2, Song of Songs, Festival des Musiques du Désert (Morocco). This year DagaDana won two nominations in Poland’s most prestigious music award “Fryderyk”. Discovery of the year and authors of the best album of the year sing in Ukrainian half of their songs.
